But this post written in 2006 is just as applicable today as it was when written. The only change has been the way that Obama comes across as erudite whereas GWB came across as a buffoon. Strategy is, however, unchanged. Once Iraq is really closed out and Afghanistan starts to be, Obama will shift his strategy. He already has his sights set on Africa, and that will be the next front for America to protect its "national interests" from the Chinese who are already deeply involved there.
