| To the
layman (and sometimes the professional),
"remote viewing" and the word
"psychic" mean approximately the same
thing. However there are primary differences.
These lie within the word origins and the
specific protocols or lack of protocols in which
they are usually found or used. The most important difference is:
Remote viewing is always
done within a scientific or an approved
protocol. If it is not, then it is not remote
viewing.
Psychic information
generally comes to someone paranormally, but
without any specific forms of control
applied.
Therefore, it is
possible to be psychic while operating within
a remote viewing protocol, but it is not
possible to be a remote viewer just by being
a psychic.
Remote viewing is:
The ability to produce
information that is correct about a place, event,
person, or object located somewhere in
time/space, which is completely blind to the
remote viewer.
Other requirements:
In addition to the above,
there are additional requirements:
All persons present
during a remote viewing should essentially be
blind to the target (except for very
specific/restricted forms of targeting
material.)
There should be some
form or means of validating the material
after the remote viewing has been
accomplished (checking it for accuracy.)
Differences in
protocol:
There are sometimes
differences in protocols. The following are
examples of differences that have been used in
the past:
Outbounder Remote
Viewing. Requires a person acting as a
beacon present at the targeted site or event.
Associative Remote
Viewing. Uses proxy targets to obtain
binary (yes/no) responses.
Coordinate Remote
Viewing. Uses numeric or alpha/numeric
series to identify the specific target.
Precognitive
Remote Viewing. Remote viewing that
provides information that is predictive in
nature, or provides information on a target
before it has been selected.
Methods of viewing:
Methods of remote viewing
are the forms or styles of viewing that remote
viewers or psychics choose to use within a remote
viewing protocol. These are sometimes referred to
as ERV, CRV, SRV, TRV, etc. Whichever method has
been chosen for employment does not waive the
requirement for an appropriate protocol to be in
force.
