| PETE'S
HARBOR RESTAURANT WHERE:
Pete's Harbor Restuarant is located approximately
4.8 miles from the laboratory in Palo Alto. It is
located adjacent to a small boat dock. It is a
stand-alone building which sits back on the rear
of a large parking area to the front. One enters
through the front up a wide set of stairs. It is
a brown structure constructed of poles and
weathered wood.

HOW TARGETED:
I was taken to a windowless room approximately
one hour before target time. After my seclusion,
a "beacon" or target person randomly
selected an envelope from a set of 75 possible
locations and departed the building. After
leaving the building (at some point in route),
the beacon person opened the envelope and
proceeded to the target location
indicated--Pete's Harbor Restuarant. At a
pre-arranged time, designed to follow the arrival
of the beacon person at the targeted site, I was
asked to describe in as much detail as possible
where the beacon person was located. Great care
was taken to insure that I, and the person within
the remote viewing room, were both totally blind
to either the selection of the envelope or the
location of the target site during the
experiment. In addition to the remote viewing
information, I was asked whether or not I felt
good about my targeting material. I rated the
likelihood of my remote viewing success as very
High.
CONCLUSION:
After describing the site in as much detail as
possible, we formally logged the results and
filed the materials with another individual
within the lab who was not participant to the
experiment. When the beacon person returned to
the lab, I was then taken to the actual site for
formal feedback.

EVALUATION:
The target was later independently judged by a
person who was not participant to the experiment,
producing a significant effect size of 0.710 +/-
0.289 (p=0.007). It should also be emphasized
that the photographs were pre-defined as part of
the target pool definition (in other words, they
were not taken at a later date to favor my
drawings or statements, but were included as
original instructions within the envelope
selected by the beacon person.)
PERSONAL:
I had no prior knowledge of the target pool or
its contents. While I was successful in stating
how good I felt my information was prior to
knowing about the actual target or results of the
final evaluation, laboratory studies strongly
suggest that most remote viewers are usually the
worst judge of their own performance prior to an
independent assessment. The degree of accuracy I
display in this regard from time to time, can
probably be attributed to twenty-one years of
professional remote viewing experience.
